Belle Chasse - June 22, 2012. Last week, Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser was a featured speaker at the Gulf Coast Restoration Summit in Destin, Florida.
Hundreds of conference participants listened to President Nungesser and to senior Congressional staff, state legislators, county commissioners, state and city officials, business leaders, environmental experts, and lawyers providing the latest information on the RESTORE Act and other monies designed to help bring financial relief to the people of the U.S. Gulf Coast.
"The people involved in this organization should be praised. They are doing a great job at keeping the response, effects, and aftermath issues of the spill on the forefront," said President Nungesser. "Bill Loiry should also be praised for his efforts with the summit. Myself, Plaquemines Parish, and all of coastal Louisiana are so thankful to him for the work he is doing."
